• Doug Cifu suspended by NHL for social media exchange

The NHL suspended Doug Cifu, minority owner and vice chairman of the Florida Panthers, on Tuesday following what the league called “unacceptable and inappropriate” social media posts made during a heated exchange with a Toronto Maple Leafs fan.

Cifu, who also serves as the Panthers’ alternate governor, is barred from any involvement with the team or the league pending an in-person meeting with NHL commissioner Gary Bettman. The league did not specify when that meeting would take place.

Baltimore drafted Arizona kicker Tyler Loop in the sixth round of this year’s NFL Draft, underscoring how uncertain Tucker’s future is. The Baltimore Banner has reported that over a dozen massage therapists have accused Tucker of inappropriate sexual behavior. The NFL has said it will investigate the allegations. Tucker has maintained he did not act inappropriately towards any of his accusers.

Haliburton sealed the Pacers’ 4-1 series victory with a lay-up in overtime that gave them a 119-118 victory on Tuesday night. In the ensuing celebrations, Antetokounmpo says Haliburton’s father, John, approached him and waved a towel while shouting “this is what we fucking do.”
